• File review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action

Requirements
• 3-5 years’ experience in General Liability, experience in other practice areas a plus
• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school
• Admitted to practice in Tennessee, admitted to practice in Georgia is a plus
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solid research abilities and written and oral communication skills
• Strong work ethic, ability to self-manage and work in a team environment.

About Us
Stevie Phillips Law, PLLC boasts a prominent reputation in the field of criminal defense. With over 15 years of experience, Attorney Stevie Phillips practices in juvenile, state, and federal courts throughout Hamilton County and Southeast Tennessee. Our collaborative team consists of one attorney, one office manager, and one legal assistant and works alongside private investigators and other experts.
Job Duties:
Conduct basic legal research and draft memoranda, correspondence, and motions.
Review discovery, interview witnesses, and occasionally assist with on-site investigations.
File pleadings, retrieve and deliver documents, and run errands.
Take notes during meetings with clients and witnesses.
Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and facilitate document exchanges.
General clerical responsibilities, including scanning and uploading documents; opening, closing, and managing case files; drafting contracts and invoices; and scheduling meetings.
Assist with other tasks as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a law firm, court clerk’s office, or judge's chambers
At least some college coursework
Passion for criminal defense work
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to read, write, and communicate in formal and informal settings
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable interacting with people of various backgrounds, such as clients and court personnel
Must be detail-oriented and have excellent time management skills
Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computer, copier, and scanner
Familiarity with Gmail, Microsoft 365, Dropbox, and MyCase
